1. Who we are

This website is operated by A Squared Roofing, Inc. ("A² Roofing", "we", "us"), a Florida roofing contractor licensed under certificate CCC1329752. Our office is at 4313 W South Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. You can reach us at (813) 559-1252 or office@asquaredroofingcompany.com.

This policy covers a2roofingtampa.com and the ways we handle information you give us when you request an estimate, call us, or otherwise contact us about roofing work. It is published in English. A Spanish version of this site is planned, and a Spanish version of this policy will be published with it.

2. Information you give us

Our estimate form asks for four things, and all four are required: your name, your phone number, your email address, and the type of roofing service you need. There is also an optional message box, and an optional checkbox for promotional calls and text messages (§ 4).

When you submit the form, this is what we save — the whole list:

• your name;
• your phone number, stored as ten digits;
• your email address;
• the service you selected;
• your message, if you wrote one;
• the page of this website you submitted from;
• the language of that page;
• the date and time you submitted;
• a version number identifying the exact contact statement shown on the form when you submitted it (§ 4);
• if you ticked the promotional box: the fact that you ticked it, the date and time, and a version number identifying the exact wording you agreed to; and
• the fact that the security check passed.

We do not store your IP address with your inquiry. The record has no field for it.

If you call us, we collect the information you give us on the call, including your phone number.

3. Information collected automatically when you browse

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives standard technical information every time you load a page — your IP address, which page you asked for, and the type of device and browser you are using. That is how a website is delivered.

We also use Google Analytics, described in § 9. Everything else on these pages — the typefaces, the images, the styling — is served from this website itself, so loading a page does not tell any other company that you visited.

4. Calls and text messages

When you submit our form, you agree that A² Roofing may call or text you regarding your request and related roofing services. The form shows this statement beside the button you press to send it.

The form also has a separate checkbox for promotional calls and text messages. It is optional and is not ticked unless you tick it. You do not need to tick it to request an estimate or to hire us. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not send automated text messages. Members of our team call and text customers from their own mobile phones, so your number and your messages with them may be held on those phones. They use them for A² Roofing business and nothing else.

We keep a record of which statement the form showed when you sent it and, if you ticked the promotional box, when you ticked it and the exact wording you agreed to.

To stop promotional calls and texts, tell us — in a text, on a call, or by email to office@asquaredroofingcompany.com. We record your request in our central customer system so that it applies to everyone on our team. Stopping promotional contact does not stop us contacting you about a request you have made or about work that is scheduled or in progress.

5. Phone calls and call recording

Our office is staffed Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00. Calls answered by our staff on the office line are not recorded.

Calls that arrive outside those hours are answered on our behalf by an outside telephone answering service, TAS Solutions, which operates as Answering Tampa Bay. The answering service records the calls it answers. No announcement is played at the start of the call. The service generally keeps these recordings for about nine months to one year.

The answering service also records the details you give on the call — your name, your phone number, your address, and the reason you are calling — and passes them to us as a message. It keeps those details in its message archive for up to two weeks. After that they are stored on its server, where they can be retrieved on request. The answering service does not share them with third parties.

If you would rather not be recorded, you can hang up and reach us another way: call back during office hours, email us at office@asquaredroofingcompany.com, or use the form on this website.

6. How we use your information

• To respond to your request and schedule an inspection or estimate.
• To quote, perform, and follow up on roofing work.
• To keep a record of your inquiry and of the consent you gave.
• To protect our website and our forms from spam and abuse.
• To understand how the website is used.
• To meet our legal, licensing, insurance, and record-keeping obligations.

7. The security check on our forms, and how we limit abuse

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads in your browser and examines technical signals about your browser to tell real visitors apart from automated spam. When you submit the form, we send Turnstile's result together with your IP address to Cloudflare so that it can be verified. Turnstile may set its own cookies in your browser; those are set by Cloudflare, not by us.

Two further checks run on our side and collect nothing about you personally: a hidden field that real people never fill in, and a check that the form was on screen for at least three seconds before it was sent.

We also limit each internet address to five form submissions per minute. To do that, we store your IP address in Cloudflare's key-value store for sixty seconds, after which it expires automatically. It is not attached to your inquiry and it is not kept.

8. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. This website contains no mechanism that sends what you submit to anyone other than the providers below, and we share it with them only so they can do the job we use them for.

• Cloudflare — hosts this website, stores your inquiry record in its D1 database, runs the security check described in § 7, and briefly holds your IP address for the rate limit described in the same section.
• Microsoft — carries the email alert that tells our team a new inquiry has arrived. That email contains your name, your phone number, your email address, the service you selected, your message, the page you came from, the time you submitted, and whether you ticked the promotional box. It is sent from one of our company mailboxes to our company mailboxes, and a copy stays in the sending mailbox's sent items. The alert is set up so that a reply from us goes straight to your own email address.
• HubSpot — our customer relationship management system, where our team works your inquiry through to a scheduled job. HubSpot receives your name, your phone number, your email address, the service you selected, the page you came from, and the fact that you submitted under the contact statement in § 4 — and, if you ticked the promotional box, that you did and on what date. It does not receive your message. If you contact us again from the same email address, your existing record is updated rather than duplicated.
• Google — receives the website analytics described in § 9, and nothing else. It does not receive anything you type into our forms.
• TAS Solutions, operating as Answering Tampa Bay — answers calls to our office outside business hours, records those calls, and takes messages (§ 5). It holds the recording and the details you give on the call, including your name, phone number, address, and the reason you are calling. This applies to phone calls only. Information you submit through a form on this website is not sent to the answering service.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, where we must to comply with our licensing or insurance obligations, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Financing. Our financing page contains a link to a prequalification page operated by Regions Bank. We do not send Regions Bank anything. If you follow that link you leave this website and give your application information to Regions Bank directly, under Regions Bank's own privacy policy. The link identifies A² Roofing to Regions Bank, so if you apply through it, Regions Bank may later let us know that you applied. A² Roofing is not a lender.

Not used: we do not run Meta (Facebook) advertising pixels, advertising tags, tag managers, or call-tracking services on this website.

9. Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use this website. It records the pages you view, how long you stay, the approximate region you are visiting from, and the type of device and browser you use. It also records two specific actions: when you tap a phone number on this site — including which number you tapped — and when you reach our thank-you page after successfully submitting the form.

We have configured that property so that:

• analytics data is deleted by Google after fourteen months; and
• Google Signals is switched off, so your activity here is not combined across your devices and is not shared with Google for advertising personalisation.

This information is collected using cookies, and we do not use it to identify you personally. You can stop Google Analytics collecting your information by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

10. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. On this site there are three things to know about:

• Google Analytics sets cookies for the measurement described in § 9.
• Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies for the security check described in § 7. Those are set by Cloudflare.
• This website itself stores one short-lived marker in your browser's session storage after you successfully submit the form. Our thank-you page reads it once, deletes it immediately, and uses it only to avoid counting the same inquiry twice. It contains nothing about you, and it disappears when you close the tab.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site and the forms will still work, though the security check may ask you to confirm you are a real visitor.

11. How long we keep your information

We want to be exact about this, because it is the kind of thing a privacy policy usually describes as more automatic than it is.

Website inquiries. Nothing is deleted automatically. Your inquiry stays in our database, in our customer system, and in our email until a person at A² Roofing removes it. We have decided internally that a full inquiry record should be kept for 24 months and then reduced to the minimum we need for our business and legal records, but that is carried out by hand and is not yet enforced by any automatic process.

Customer records. If you become a customer, we keep the records of your job — such as your contract, permits, warranty records, and our communications with you — for longer than an inquiry, for as long as we need them to honour warranties and to meet our licensing, tax, insurance, and other legal obligations.

There are two short-lived exceptions, both technical: the IP address held for the rate limit in § 7 expires after sixty seconds, and Google deletes analytics data after fourteen months (§ 9).

We keep records of consent for as long as we may need them to show what you agreed to.

12. How we protect your information

Information you send through this website travels over an encrypted connection and is stored with the providers named in § 8. Access to our inquiry records and our customer system is limited to people at A² Roofing who need it to do their jobs. Our database is written using parameterised queries, which means what you type is stored as text and is never executed as a command. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your choices

• Stop promotional calls and texts: tell us in a text, on a call, or by email (§ 4).
• Ask what we hold: email office@asquaredroofingcompany.com and we will tell you.
• Ask us to delete it: email office@asquaredroofingcompany.com. We will remove your record from our inquiry database and from our customer system, and delete the notification emails we can locate, except for records we must keep — for example contracts, permits, warranty records, a record of your consent or of your request to stop promotional contact, and anything the law requires us to retain. Copies may survive in ordinary email backups.
• Opt out of analytics: install the Google opt-out add-on linked in § 9, or block cookies in your browser.

14. Children

This website is meant for adults arranging roofing work on property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the updated version on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the date shown at the top.
